Cookies and More Cookies

Our weekend was pretty uneventful, We just hung around the house mostly.  The only fun thing we did was decorate halloween sugar cookies.  Scarlett had fun and we of course had fun watching her, she took a bite out of every cookie she decorated and ate frosting by the spoonful!!!!

Our Weekend!

Weekends around here seem to go by way too quickly - I blink and it's already Monday morning.  I love that Felix gets to spend every Saturday and Sunday with us now and I love exploring our new State.  On Saturday we went on the fruitloop tour and it was awesome! Farms, fruit stands, pumpkin Patches, Lavender fields and wineries! We will have to go back when I can taste all the different kinds of wine ;).  We let Scarlett run around a pumpkin patch, she got extremely dirty, but loved every second of it!  I love Fall the colors, the crisp air and EVERYTHING PUMPKIN.

Helping Mamma in the Kitchen

This little sweet girl helped me make the yummiest (and extra Chocolatiest) cookies! She Loved helping even though some of the flour didn't make it into the kitchen aide bowl.  She than stood in front of the oven (with the oven light on) and watched them bake to perfection!

Cannon Beach

Of course our Favorite beach was on the agenda while our friends were here!!!  They loved it! We Loved it! The kids had a BLAST!

Waterfalls

Our Sweet Friends and there even sweeter (and cuter) boys came to visit us!!  We knew we wanted to take them to the big waterfalls here in Oregon, beautiful drive (I might have to talk Felix into going on the drive again in a few weeks to see the Fall Leaves).  Whats crazy is almost a year before, to the day, we were at the same waterfalls when we came out here for Felix's interview; it was just as breathtaking.

Daddy and his canoe

Well, it finally happened after YEARS and YEARS of talking about buying a canoe - Felix's dream finally came true!!!  We have had it for 5 weeks and have taken it out at least  5 times.  The first time I took my camera but was paranoid the whole time so I haven't taken it since.  Felix and Scarlett LOVE being out on the water, I am getting used to it and definitely not as nervous for Scarlett to fall over.  We Usually pack a lunch and find a spot to get out on the side and eat.... It actually has been a lot of fun!

Scarlett - 15 and 16 Months

Sorry I have been MIA lately - with not feeling the greatest the last few weeks and than we had our sweet friends and their three boy visit us for a week things have been crazy! But be prepared to be bombarded with posts over the next week or so :).  I'll start off with Scarlett's Updates

Age:  15 and 16 Months

Stats: According to our scale 22lbs

Clothes:  12-18 months or 18 months.  For the fall and winter clothing I have been getting her 18 months - Old Navy and Baby Gap once again win for the cutest stuff!

Favorite Foods: Apples - not sure if its because she actually LOVES apples or she LOVES to say Apple. this girl will seriously eat everything - including seaweed salad!

Things she says: Too many to count now 45+ - She has started to put 2 words together to form sentences and she will say please if she wants something and Thank you when you hand her something or when she hands you something.  

Activities: She Mastered body parts a lot faster than I thought and moved quickly to animals and the sounds they make; I would say she knows about 12 consistently. I also have started pointing out different shapes to her, so far we have circle and square down.  Next I'll probably start pointing out colors - I see colored themed lunches in the near future ;).

Favorite Things:  By far her books, she will ask me to read her books all day long! I am about to order her some fall/halloween books for her - I figured since I am about to decorate for fall I should get her in the mood too!

My Favorite thing she does: When she runs up to me and says "Up Pease" or maybe when she stands at the refrigerator and says "cheese pease"

Daddy's Favorite thing she does:  When she unties his shoes when he gets home from work so he can take them off.
