Puzzle

Scarlett received these animal puzzles for her first birthday from her grandma and grandpa Carroll....  She has loved them from day one - they make animal sounds!!  However they caused her a lot of frustration, they got thrown across the room a couple times and I finally had to put them up on the shelf, she just wasn't old enough for them.  After Christmas I boxed up some of her toys to make room for the new ones she got - I got these off the the shelf and she has been in LOVE with them! What's even better, she can actually DO the puzzle, she doesn't need help, she hasn't chucked them across the room because the piece doesn't fit, and they give me about thirty minutes of uninterrupted time to do stuff around the house.  When she finishes the puzzle she tells herself "good job", which of course is my all time favorite!

Letters to Sweet Scarlett

Piglet sidled up to Pooh from behind. "Pooh?" he whispered.
"Yes, Piglet?"

"Nothing," said Piglet, taking Pooh's hand. "I just wanted to be sure of you." Scarlett I hope you're always sure of me, sure of us. When we're cozied up, smiling, and laughing together, feeling sure is easy. But when we are driving each other crazy, or we just don't hear what the other is really saying...that's when it's hard. But I'll always be here. I love you sweet girl, longer than forever. You can be sure of that!

Letters to baby C #2

Hey Sweet Babe, You will be here in just a short 8 weeks (that's mamma with her big 32 week baby bump)! No words can express how excited I am to finally see and hold you, although part of me is going to miss those sweet kicks of yours.  This pregnancy has gone by way to fast, time definitely moves faster than you think, I feel like I just found out we were adding a new babe too our little family and here it is almost time to see that sweet face of yours!   My Pregnancy App says you weigh about 3.9 lbs and about 19 inches long - although at my Dr. appt she guessed about 3 lbs.  You finally flipped head down, before you were hanging out in my tummy sideways, Thanks for flipping I was nervous that you wouldn't and the Dr. would have to try to flip you.

Love you always,
Mamma

Snow Day

Felix had the week between Christmas and New Years off - which was awesome! On New Years Eve we drove up to Mount Hood for a SNOW DAY!!!  I froze, since NONE of my regular clothes are fitting these days and my belly is SO big that I couldn't zip up my snow jacket but Felix and of course Scarlett had a blast.  And I LOVED capturing it all with my camera!

Christmas 2014

I know I have been MIA on this blog,  but I was enjoying the holiday season with my little family!!!  Our Christmas was very low key - Christmas Eve we hung out all day at our house until it was time to go to the candle light service at Church.  I LOVE candle light services, our church back home would do them every year and its my favorite - so you could imagine the joy I felt when I heard our new Church home also did Christmas Eve candle light services!!!  I found this adorable gold glitter tulle at Michaels and knew right away that Scarlett would be rocking a Gold Glitter Tutu for her Christmas Eve outfit!  She is obsessed with Tutu's lately, and most days she has one on over her outfit.

After Service we came back home to enjoy Felix's homemade tamales and open our Christmas Eve present - Christmas Pajamas and a Movie.

Once Scarlett was in bed we got her presents under the tree and her stocking filled.  "Santa" got her a little kids table that a certain daddy elf put together and a Mamma elf painted White and Gold.  Than I had to wait ALL night for her to wake up!  The Table was a HUGE hit- she sits at it everyday and "Culas"

Those Crayons are my Favorite

Enjoying a cup of Boffee

It took her all day to open her presents ha ha, she really didn't have that many but she would open one and want to play with it right away!  Christmas day was laid back, we made breakfast, homemade cinnamon rolls, egg casserole, and sausage (YUM).  For Christmas dinner I made a Ham, Scalloped potatoes and honey roasted carrots.  Overall our holiday was amazing, we missed our family (and our traditional Mexican food feast, with a yummy margarita)  but I couldn't have asked for a better day!
