Fun in the Sun

So lately my life has been consumed with boxes! LOTS OF BOXES!!  and packing paper!  Poor Scarlett was feeling a little left out I think, so I woke up today and said I am not touching a single box today.  What a perfect day to decide that too, it's like God knew we needed a break.  So after afternoon naps (yes we both took a nap and it was AWESOME!).  We had a snack and while I was cleaning up I found Scarlett basically trying to climb outside through the window.

SOOO we headed outside to explore our new backyard.  We were outside for probably two hours, and it was a blast.  I love our new backyard and I can't wait for spring and summer to get here. I for-see some major Shenanigans going on back there. Also my mom makes Scarlett the cutest headbands!

Flash Back Friday

I have been sitting here looking on Pinterest for some ideas for Scarlett's first birthday! It is hard to believe that she is going to be one in just a few months, it seriously feels like I got to hold her for the first time yesterday. Time moves faster than you think. 

 I found a really cool banner idea where you use pictures from the past year, which than made me head on over to my lightroom 5 program so I could look at some pictures from the last year.  blaaa too many that I love to make a banner ha ha I'll have to narrow it down.  here are a few  :)

Our week has been full of boxes! HA HA but we finally moved into our new house and I am so excited to start making it feel like our home.

Park Adventures

So, this post is a little out of order (the pictures are from three weeks ago); but I wanted to get these pictures on here. Mainly because I LOVE THE PICTURES! and I want them in our photobook that I plan on printing at the end of the year.  We actually just stumbled across this park one Saturday while driving around our new city.  The day actually started out at the winter's farmers market downtown and after we just started driving around.  It's so amazing how different the parks are out here compared to Albuquerque.  When I think of a park, I think of grass and swings; O NO the parks out here are forests!! They are absolutely beautiful! I of course was not prepared to hike around a forest but it still was a blast.  I think we will spend a lot of weekends at this particular park because it is right next to the river and from the looks of it Scarlett is going to be a little water bug. Bedtime Stories

Bedtime Stories are the best, and Scarlett loves to read books!!! She is digging Cat and the Hat by Dr. Suess right now,  it's probably because I rock a totally awesome Cat and the Hat voice :).  I pretty much know this book by heart now and have two favorite quotes from it that I use often “I know it is wet and the sun is not sunny, but we can have lots of good fun that is funny.”  and  "And this mess is so big And so deep and so tall, We cannot pick it up. There is no way at all!”. I use the second quote more than the first, mainly because Scarlett makes a MESS with her toys.
