Letters to Sweet Scarlett

My sweet Scarlett you are turning 9 months and it is so surreal.  I can’t believe that 9 months ago you were placed in my arms for the first time.  I feel so blessed to be your mama, I must have done something right for God to trust me with such a special girl.    You have changed so much since that sweet day you decided to show your beautiful face. At almost 9 months old… “Da-de” comes from your sweet lips the most, you’re all about him these days,  you’re cruising along furniture like a pro, standing all by yourself, crawling fast, you’re not a fan of baby food and now just eat what daddy and I are eating.

Scarlett you bring such joy to our little family. I can’t imagine life without you in it.  Thank you for letting me see things through your eyes… everything is new and exciting  to you.  The blizzard that just hit us was too tempting, so daddy and I bundled you up and took a stroll to the park.  I loved watching your eyes as you watched the snowflakes hit the ground, or tasting snow for the first time.  I also loved watching your daddy and you together…. there is nothing sweeter than seeing you with him.  I never thought I could love your daddy anymore than I already do but everyday you prove me wrong, because everyday I love him a little bit more than the day before.

I write you this 9 month letter while You’re in my arms, my favorite feeding time… first thing in the morning,  Usually it is dark out but lately the sun has been rising a little bit early, I wish I could say that you are sleeping in longer; I guess I can’t complain you wake up at 7:30. The morning nursing session has by far become one of my favorite times with you, I go and get you from your bed and we climb back into Da- De and Mamas bed and get cozy under some blankets.  You are so snugly in the morning, most of the other times you barely sit still long enough to eat.  Right now You are cozy in your pink and white polk a dot footy pajamas, and they’re dangling off my lap.  when did you get so big??? slow down a bit, pretty pretty please?  There are things that I will miss terribly and this time with you is definitely on the list.

Happy 9 month my sweet girl!

Remember I love you. Always

Love
